About Us

With electronic markets proliferating and the number of participants increasing on a global basis,
Technical Analysis has continued to gain mainstream acceptance.  The American Association of Professional Technical Analysts is a nonprofit organization for experienced professionals applying Technical Analysis to the markets.  AAPTA provides a place to share ideas, information, research and analytical techniques in an atmosphere of openness, trust and cooperation.

Through its online forum, annual brainstorming session and annual conference, AAPTA offers members a place to discuss observations, discoveries and concerns in a private yet open and intellectually stimulating environment.  AAPTA members analyze a variety of markets,  including equities, bonds, commodities, futures, currencies, ETFs and foreign markets.

AAPTA incorporated as a nonprofit organization in 2004 and became a member of the International Federation of Technical Analysts in 2006.
