With electronic markets proliferating and the number of participants increasing on a global basis, Technical Analysis has continued to gain mainstream acceptance.  The American Association of Professional Technical Analysts is a nonprofit organization for experienced professionals applying Technical Analysis to the markets.  AAPTA provides a place to share ideas, information, research and analytical techniques in an atmosphere of openness, trust and cooperation.

Through its online forum, annual brainstorming session and annual conference, AAPTA offers members a place to discuss observations, discoveries and concerns in a private yet open and intellectually stimulating environment.  AAPTA members analyze a variety of markets,  including equities, bonds, commodities, futures, currencies, ETFs and foreign markets.

AAPTA incorporated as a nonprofit organization in 2004 and became a member of the International Federation of Technical Analysts in 2006. 

Membership
AAPTA applicants must meet stringent requirements, including professional employment in an analytical or investment-management capacity for a minimum of seven years. Applicants must be sponsored by three members of AAPTA, display high standards of ethical and professional behavior, and then approved by the board.  

There is a 30-day review period for all applicants.

New members will be entered into and will have access to our directory. They can also add or read content posted by other Technical Analysts. Members will have access to our annual events and online gallery.
